Link with musical training (FM) and computer-assisted music (MAO):
In order to work the ear of the pupils, the EarMaster software is perfectly adapted to eliminate the difficulties of the pupils to find a melody or a rhythm. This training software is comprehensive with nearly 2,500 exercises for all levels on sight reading, ear training and rhythmic music theory.
The Content of the FM Music Today course has an important relation to the work on computer music.
Harmonic work (chords and scales)
Learn to read and analyze American costings (chord charts)
Rhythm section work (loops)
Collective practice on a variety of repertoire (blues, jazz, rock, pop, ...); initiation to improvisation
The interactions between the instrument, the song and the computer:
Here again, it is a question of approaching modern techniques motivating the pupil to create new sounds (ex: playing virtual "MIDI" instruments) by helping them to understand the arrangements of polyphonic music (written on software and played back in MIDI sounds).
Initiation to recording in studio conditions:
In this program divided into 3 years, we approach all the stages of working in the studio through very concrete practical exercises: it is a question of creating on virtual instruments, of recording, arranging, orchestrating and mixing his project until the burning to CD. The discovery of this new universe requires the use of specific equipment made available to us as well as various software and applications such as audio editors, or midi / audio sequencers.
